My Holey ‘Verses
These are my converse. I got them at Marshall's for $19.99. They have lasted me a good year. Many bike rides, running, parkour, hiking trips, walking through creeks, tree climbing, skateboarding, and the big ruiner...working as a plumber's assistant. Why they look the way they do: I stabbed a knife through one of the toes to make one of those cool, spy-knife-shoe things. I later patched the hole with an earplug, superglue and some white paint. I ended up taking the insoles out because they got deteriorated what with all the sweat and creek water. But because I did so, the heel cup popped loose the minute I tried to take them off. So I gutted the shoes so that only one layer of canvas was left. I wore holes through the canvas on the inside where my toes rubbed. Some of those holes risked having the tongue fall out so I had to patch over them with the rubber form the inter tube of a bike tire. The outsole, as you may be able to see, is still in decent condition. The big gaping hole that you see is the result of a restless mind (school is boring) and a bunch of parkour, skating and tree climbing accidents. And the songs (which I don't own) in order: Yesterday- Beatles Mysteries of a Hobo's Life- Cisco Houston Dream- Nina
